There's a quiet whisper of a rumor, one that has gone around for decades and centuries: we humans are not alone on this Earth.

Stop - listen! You can hear them, their feet running against the same paths as ours in forests and tapping along the same roads
as we use. You can sense them; they rub you the wrong way the first time you see them - which, in some cases, is the last time
that you'll see anything. Goosebumps crawl up your skin as the moon shines down, cold and unforgiving when it used to be
a comfort to you as you took your nightly walk along the beach. You glance at the water - a hundred years ago, huge wars
were fought along these very sands by the swashbucklers and their sea gypsies. A harsh breeze floats through your
bones as you hear a hiss- this isn't a regular sea breeze. Quickly, you're sprinting, running for the nearest bit of
civilization. You can hear them behind you, they're taunting you and stalking you, but every time you turn
there's no one there. A pair of glowing eyes follow you as you rip open the store's door, and you're
thankful that you're around those like you suddenly. But, you know they're waiting for you, just
outside, lingering. The longer you try their patience, the longer they'll hunt. Keep running.
